  • What are your fees?
    If you have applicable insurance, all rates are negotiated with your primary insurance company. If you plan to pay out of pocket for services, the fees are as follows. Counseling Initial intake session $195.00 Follow Up Sessions $160.00 per session Psychiatry Initial Intake appointment $275.00 Follow up sessions $190.00 per session Psychology Initial Intake appointment $245.00 These fees are reviewed annually, and may be subject to change.
  • What insurances do you accept?
    We Accept IEHP, Kaiser, Magellan, and United and we also offer sliding scale rates for those who may need financial assistance. Please contact us for more information about insurance coverage and payment options.
  • What is the attendance policy?
    We require a 48-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you miss a session without notice, you may be charged for the missed appointment. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your appointment. In addition, if you no show, no call, or late cancel an appointment, all of your future scheduled appointments will be taken off of the schedule, including appointments you have made for other services at Renewing Hope. You will then have to call into the office to reschedule your appointments for at minimum 3 weeks before you can be placed back on the recurring schedule.
  • Do you offer letters of medical necessity?
    Yes! We are happy to offer letters for Bariatric surgeries as well as Gender Affirming surgeries to clients for whom they are necessary.
  • What if I need help finding additional resources?
    Many resources can be found in our resources tab on our website, including Enhanced Care Management (ECM) for clients who are insured by IEHP. In addition, Community health workers are also available to aid clients in seeking services to meet their needs.
  • What is Branswave Deep TMS?
    TMS is a neurostimulation intervention that works to activate neural networks in targeted areas of the brain impacted in mental health disorders. It is currently FDA approved to treat Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Major Depressive Disorder, Anxious Depression, and Smoking Addiction. This intervention is available for clients ages 15 and older who have not responded well to traditional treatment or medication or are looking for an alternative to medication.   • What is QB testing?
    QB testing is used to screen for ADHD/ADD in clients between 6 and 60. This test alone is not able to diagnose ADHD, but it can be an important tool in the process and help your clinician to rule out other possibilities.
  • Are there services available in my language?
    Renewing Hope currently offers Counseling services in Spanish and American Sign Language and is also able to bring in interpreters to interpret sessions and meet the needs of our clients.
  • Are there services available for children?
    Yes! Renewing hope offers services to children as young as 2 years old.
  • What if I need a record of the services I have received?
    Renewing Hope is able to provide treatment summary letters when requested. These letters cost $25 dollars and can take up to 30 days to receive. This letter will be given to you as the client to do with what you would like.
  • Do you offer psychological testing?
    Currently we are unable to offer Psychological testing onsite, but if you are an active client we are happy to offer referrals through your insurance.
  • What if there is an emergency?
    Renewing Hope does not offer emergency services, so in this case the best course of action would be to call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For mental health emergencies, please go to Emergency Treatment Services, 999 Country Farm Rd, Riverside, CA, 92503. You can also go to the Resources tab to explore other crisis resources.
  • Do you offer court mandated therapy?
    We do not provide evaluations for custody, visitation, or other court matters. This also means that your therapist will not communicate with attorneys or sign letters, affidavits, or reports to be used in legal matters. If you need a record of the services you have received through Renewing Hope, you are able to request a treatment summary letter, which costs $25 dollars and can take up to 30 days to receive.   • Do you offer virtual sessions?
    Yes, we offer virtual therapy sessions via the Simple Practice Platform for those who prefer or need to meet remotely. Please let us know if you prefer this option when scheduling your appointment.
  • How do I get started?
    You can get started by calling us at (951) 465-3664 or filling out the contact form. We’ll schedule an initial consultation to discuss your needs and begin the process of finding the right therapist for you.
  • What should I expect in my first session?
    In your first session, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your personal history, and any specific goals you have. This is also a time for you to ask questions about the process and for us to ensure a comfortable fit between us.
  • How frequently should I attend therapy.
    The frequency of sessions can vary depending on your goals and circumstances. Generally, clients start with weekly sessions and may adjust based on progress and comfort.
  • Is my information confidential?
    Yes, your privacy is very important to us. All information shared in therapy is confidential and protected by law, with a few exceptions related to safety and legal requirements. We will discuss these exceptions during your first session. If you are a minor under the age of 12, the law provides your parents/legal guardians the right to examine your treatment records. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18, the law may provide your parents the right to examine your records upon request if you do not object and your provider does not find compelling reason to deny access to your records. Before giving them information, your provider will discuss the matter with you and do their best to handle any objections you may have. Your parents are entitled to the following information: current physical and mental condition, Diagnosis, Treatment needs, services provided, and services needed.
  • How do I prepare for my first session?
    Think about what you hope to achieve through therapy and any specific issues you’d like to address. It’s also helpful to bring any questions or concerns you might have about the therapy process.
  • What qualifications do your therapists have?
    Our therapists are professionals with a wide range of experience and licenses including licensed and associate Marriage and Family Therapists, Professional Clinical Counselors, and Social Workers. All of our associate clinicians receive supervision from licensed therapists to ensure that they are performing at their highest capacity and meeting their client’s needs. We are committed to ongoing education and training to provide the best care possible to all of our clients.
  • How do I know if my therapist is a good fit for me?
    A good fit means that you feel heard, respected, and understood by your therapist. If you find that you’re not making the progress you hoped for, or if the therapeutic relationship feels uncomfortable, it’s important to address this with your therapist or reach out to us for support.
  • What if I don’t feel comfortable with my therapist?
    It’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. If you feel that the fit isn’t right, please let us know. We can discuss your concerns and, if necessary, help you find another therapist who may be a better match.
